Why do I need an Auth/EPP code?
For TLDs that use one, the authorization code proves that the transfer request is permitted. Get it from the registrar currently managing the domain.
Why can a transfer be blocked?
Common causes include a registrar lock, a recent registration or transfer lock, an invalid Auth/EPP code, registry-specific rules, or a domain state that does not allow transfer.
Will my website stop working during the transfer?
A registrar transfer does not normally require you to change nameservers. Keep your working DNS configuration in place unless you deliberately want to move DNS as well.
How long will it take?
Timing depends on the registry, extension and losing registrar. Your Makeitdomain transfer workspace shows the current status and any action required from you.
